MARSHALLS (2)                             167 for 9

THORESBY COLLIERY (18)         168 for 1

After the two previous games this was a welcome comfortable win

Chesh lost the toss (again!!) but surprisingly Marshalls decided to bat. Say begin the game by bowling Van Heuval with his first ball. Next over and he repeated the feat to bowl Hearn. There then followed a period of excellent bowling without reward as the Marchalls skipper dug in. The breakthrough was finally made by Billy. After this wickets fell steadily as Marchalls tried to up the run rate. Two chances went begging in the final over that would have made a possible maximum. Although both catches were difficult.

After tea Chesh took control and totally dominated the bowling, striking the ball to all parts of the ground. Nige was the only wicket to fall as Farouq stayed with Chesh till the end. Cheshs century was probably as good as any he has scored. Think we may have to crack his ribs again next week.!!!

Next week sees us travel to Goosedale to meet Notts and Arnold, yet another crunch game.
